Duration: (75 minutes)
Surrender yourself completely to the quiet, contemplative practice of Yin Yoga. Be still, be passive, and allow gravity to do the work for you. The class takes you through a series of floor-based postures that are held anywhere between 1-5min, where we encourage the use of props and cushions to hold and support the body in place. Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the shoulders, spine, hips and pelvis, enhancing joint health, flexibility, and blood circulation. Mental strength and resilience are also practiced as the biggest challenge lies in remaining motionless, cultivating inner stillness, and quieting the mind.Taking root in traditional Chinese medicine, a regular practice of Yin Yoga balances the health of our internal organs by clearing blockages in our energy channels, and improving the flow of vital life force (prana, or chi) in the body.
All levels are welcome.
